Conservative Volunteer Task Force
David Cameron set up the Volunteer Task Force to bring together the Conservative Party’s best campaigners and to fight by-elections in the most dynamic way.
Many of the Party’s best campaigners in the country have joined the Volunteer Task Force and are making a big difference to the Party. Members of the Task Force are building networks within the Party and exchanging their ideas for the best ways to campaign.
Can you help us in the major battlegrounds?
We are looking for Conservative supporters who will commit themselves in principle to a minimum of one week’s full time voluntary campaigning per year on a Parliamentary by-election, mayoral campaign or, exceptionally, a crucial local government by-election campaign.
These campaigns are always high profile and the results can greatly influence our political fortunes. Our aim is to build a list of pledged volunteers sufficiently large that when a by-election occurs we can call up a number of people from these “reserves”, at relatively short notice, safe in the knowledge that there will be enough who are available for that campaign.
