Labour’s “Decent Homes” in Disarray

Woodberry Down Estate

The “Decent Homes” programme on Hackney’s estates is in disarray after the Audit Commission slammed Hackney’s housing management. £200 million of government subsidy will be lost by next year unless Hackney addresses:

  • High levels of complaints about repairs;
  • Low customer satisfaction;
  • High rent arrears;
  • Little resident involvement in decisions;
  • High costs and inefficiency.

This seems to have come as a surprise to Labour councillors: it hasn’t to those of you who live on the estates. Labour won’t be wanting to take responsibility for this situation. You won’t be hearing about it in “Hackney Today”!

Your local Conservative Councillors are demanding to be told what the impact is for you. If you want to find out more call us on 07794 419301 or email Action@HackneyConservatives.com.This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it
